Lilian specialises in collective actions and complex litigation, with a particular focus on securities litigation and market abuse. She acts for institutional and private investors, companies, and consumers.
Lilian advises and represents institutional investors and representative organisations in class actions under the WAMCA. Her work includes proceedings concerning alleged breaches of disclosure obligations and market abuse under the EU Market Abuse Regulation brought against listed issuers and financial institutions. Clients describe Lilian as committed, proactive and dedicated.
Prior to joining Birkway, Lilian worked at a litigation boutique, focusing on national and international arbitration, proceedings with international aspects before domestic courts and attachment proceedings. She holds a law degree in public international law from Leiden University and in international trade and investment law (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam. She spent a semester abroad at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3.
Lilian was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2019 and is fluent in Dutch and English.
